Unique Online Dating Personal Ad

Writing a personal ad online dating may seem impossible, it is difficult to speak eloquently about yourself when you're facing a blank piece of paper. Getting the right balance between promoting the self and the law outright arrogance can be difficult to achieve.

There are, however, a few simple rules you can follow to help you create a personal ad, unique and interesting and attract the right date for you.

Be honest! Remember it's your chance to find a partner who could be with you for the rest of your life. Then tell the truth, you want someone who is attracted to the real you, not you? What could be worse then anxiously get ready for your first appointment knowing that the other person expects a great lawyer and brown hair that she likes football when you're really 5'4 blonde journalist who hates sports? Do not put yourself through it - and think how would you feel if you learned that the person you had been talking with him had lied ...

It's worth a little time before starting to prepare, think about who you are, what makes you happy and what you want, before writing your ad.

Remember, the way people interpret the written word is different to how they would respond in person, so be careful how you express yourself. When you're face to face with someone you have all sorts of other indicators such as body language.

Avoiding cliches in your ad, everyone likes to walk barefoot in the sand! Do not sound the same as everyone else, yourself, be unique!

Remember this is your listing ... and the first rule of advertising is, do not oversell, just do not replace! Do not try to be too clever - in fact, do not try too hard. Just be honest and be you, that way you could find someone who is attracted to you.

Most dating sites will tell you that you greatly increase your chances of success by including a photo in your ad, make sure you include good!

Some dating sites let you enter your own title of personal ads, some use only the first words of your ad. Be sure you know that your site uses Personals.

On some dating sites your username is more visible than your title so give it careful consideration when you register. What does it say about you?

Be positive ; Concentrate on what you want, not what you do not. What you like and love rather than what you hate. People are attracted to positive people to think about all the good things and others will react the same way!

A good profile should be approximately 150-250 words in length. Too little information is just as bad too. Imagine you meet someone for the first time ... what do you tell them about you?
